"Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for.... The Last!"

the voice booms over the microphone, immediately followed by the unpleasant screech of feedback. the bar is small, but the crowd is lively. you must say you're impressed.

you moved out to seattle about a week ago on a music production scholarship from SPU. lucky for you, your cousin, jesse, has lived out here for quite some time now, and was eager to help you get aquainted.

you knew jesse had been in a band for the last couple years, but hadn't heard any of their music, so when the opportunity struck to come to one of their gigs you knew you had to oblige.

you'd spent the last 3 songs bobbing your head, and trying your hardest not to spill your drink, all while knocking into drunk music-enjoyers left and right. it wasn't until the 4th song that you got a good view of the band's guitarist, whose view was formerly being blocked by Dina, the singer. you watched her fingers move skillfully across the strings and over the frets, creating riffs which glued all the song's pieces into place. damn, you thought

once the bands set ended, jesse texted you to grab a table, and that he'd soon meet you (with some of the complimentary drinks offered to the band by the bar). you're sitting at a table for maybe 10 minutes when you finally see, not just jesse approaching you, but all 3 band members

"Whats up, cuz!" jesse exclaims( in his already tipsy state), as he, dina, and ellie sit at your table. ellie looks you up and down, and smiles at you.
