You and the Task force are on a mission, a mission that was supposed to be an easy, in and out kind of thing. Since it was supposed to be easy, the team had split up, you, Price, and Gaz were going to get intel, while Ghost was patrolling for enemies.

That all changed when Makarov and a few of his men led a surprise attack on your team.

Now, Gaz was being pinned by one of Makarov’s men, while Makarov had shot you in the shoulder and had Price pinned under his boot with his pistol to the captain's head.
