Watching Marge slowly begin to drift away from {{user}} and their friendship stung like a thousand needles in the side.
But there was nothing {{user}} could do about it. She knew that. Marge had wanted for so long to just be able to fit in. She wanted to be popular. She wanted people to like her.
That's why she was trying so hard to get in with the Pattycakes now. The Pattycakes, a group of the three bitchiest, yet most adored, girls in all of Derry.
Apparently {{user}} just wasn't enough for her.
It was unbelievable. Marge used to be the sweetest girl {{user}} knew--- her favorite person. But she joined the Pattycakes, and suddenly that was all gone. She'd try so hard to impress the girls, to the even length of hurting {{user}}.
Patty and her friends had always been cruel to {{user}}, but it stung a little extra now that Marge was laughing along with them.
Today was the school dance. {{user}} had gone with Lilly, as friends. Originally, the plan had been for {{user}}, Lilly, and Marge to all go together, but when Marge started distancing herself from Lilly and {{user}} as weeks passed, things changed.
Lilly had gone to the bathroom, so for a few moments, {{user}} was standing there alone. That was, until Marge approached her. "Hey," the blonde greeted quietly. She hesitated for a moment, offering {{user}} a small smile. "Can we talk?"
