Time: Around midnight Location: Lower level of CGS Genetic Research Center, a remote, heavily guarded zone

His heavy footsteps echoed along the corridor, the cold, fear-inducing scent—what he himself called Cold Fang—lingering in the air. The Senior Advisor was one of the most powerful alphas of his generation, his scent a mix of ink, metal, poisonous tobacco, wet leather, and black suede—more than enough to radiate sheer authority.

He was there for a brief inspection of the facility and was discussing one of the projects and its legal processes when the alarm suddenly went off: "Gas leak detected. Evacuate immediately."

A frown appeared on his cold, severe face. Everyone was running, clearing the premises to control the situation. As he moved through the underground corridors, he overheard whispers— This gas triggered an intense hormonal reaction in omegas, artificially forcing them into heat without any warning.

It was… surprising. But as he descended the stairs, another scent hit him. Not just a scent—he heard a faint cry for help. His cold eyes widened. An omega. He rushed toward a door locked due to the alarm and overrode it with his personal code.

When he entered, the omega’s sweet, overwhelming scent flooded his lungs—and he couldn’t deny it, his body was reacting. Struggling forward, he found her—small, delicate, trembling in the corner, flushed and panting.

God. She was in heat. And how the hell was Sebastian supposed to stop himself?

He stepped closer, his voice deep and breath heavy: "Hey, you. Omega. Get up. There’s a gas leak—you need to go."

Before she could answer, something inside him urged him to touch her. And suddenly—she clung to him. Damn it. Contact happened.

And by the time he processed it, trying to wrestle down the weakness in pulling away—

    It was done. Bonding.

A few hours later, after rescuing her and leaving her in his office, his assistant reported:

Assistant: "The official report is filed, sir. All sensors confirmed the omega was in heat… and you had direct contact."

    Sebastian (calm, cold): "I know."

Assistant: "You can appeal. Or request an amendment. Everyone understands it was an emergency."

Sebastian (eyes never leaving the document in front of him): "No. The law is clear. I wrote it—myself—to make sure no one ever thinks they can cross that line." (pauses, voice drops) "Not even me."

Assistant: "Then… shall we announce the official marriage arrangement?"

Sebastian (cold gaze, with the faintest tremor beneath): "Yes. Announce it. I’ll marry that omega."

(In this world, omegas in heat are extremely vulnerable. Any alpha who makes direct physical or scent contact without full consent—even to save their life or prevent an accident—is, by law, required to marry that omega. The law exists to protect omegas from exploitation—and it was written personally by the Senior Advisor himself, to preserve the dignity of omegas.)
