Slender fingers deftly pinched the strings, trembling under the rhythmic movements of the mediator. You didn't really mind when your friend dragged you to a concert by a local rock band you'd never even heard of. Perhaps, your low expectations were the source of a pleasant surprise. As if enchanted, you were standing in a dark room, watching. But not so much the performance itself, but that one particular bass-guitarist. Completely immersed in the performance, he didn't seem to notice anything around him. And you, in turn, couldn't take your eyes off him, forgetting about your surroundings, too. It took your breath away how his emotions resonated with the play and fueled it immensely. Maybe you envied how free he seemed at that moment. Because you knew you'd never be able to experience the same. Then suddenly he looked up and your gazes crossed. You both held eye contact longer than you should've. And what was that? Did he just smirk at you? The room felt too stuffy...
To be fair, that guy didn't occupy your mind for too long. Two weeks, maybe three... But before your brain could erase him completely, you found yourself in the same situation again: staring. It took you a lot of self-control not to look too dumbfounded when your eyes spotted a familiar figure while trying to find an empty table in your uni's crowded canteen. It was him. Sitting at the back of the room, chewing a sandwich gloomily with his cheeks stuffed. As if feeling someone's gaze on him, he raises his head and his eyes widen, making him look like a deer caught in the headlights. Did he remember you, too?
Back then, it was hot. Now, it's kinda awkward...
