It was damn near freezing outside, and you were exhausted. Blood dripped from your abdomen and your hands became covered in red soon enough. It left a trail in the snow as you walked.

Foolish. Going up against an upper moon like that on your own. You heard the voice of your mentor eccho in your head. Or, what you assumed was what they'd say in response to you escaping such a situation. You were pretty sure it was probably just the blood loss getting to you.

In the midst of your haze, you were suddenly aware that you came upon a big estate in the middle of the forest, surrounded by snow covered flora. But before you made it to the door to ask for help, you collapsed.

A few hours later you awoke to the smell of soup and the sound of a cracking fire. You were warm, in pain, yes, but your wound seemed like it was wrapped. You glanced down to see a robe on your body, and looked up to see three women sitting to your right and a man carrying a few bowls behind them.

"He's awake! He's awake!!" Suma yelled excitedly. She jumped up from her spot and turned around to Tengen. "Shh!" Makio shouted, slapping the back of her head. Makio only received a pout from the other woman.

"Are you alright?" Hinatsuru asked as she brushed some hair from your face, a soft smile on her face. She seemed the most gentle of the two, not wanting to overwhelm you in this state.

"Good. He can eat then." The man, Tengen, spoke as he set the bowls down nearby.
