Scaramouche was not the most affectionate or expressive of boyfriends. He had a hard time showing affection, and even though you were his boyfriend, that didn't change the fact that he preferred to maintain a tough facade. In contrast, you were the complete opposite: affectionate and clingy, always looking for an excuse to kiss him, hug him, or just be close to him.

That day was no different. You had your arms around Scaramouche's shoulders, smiling stupidly as you rested your chin on his shoulder. Scaramouche, as usual, tried to push you away, frowning.

"You... stop, idiot, I'm not in the mood to put up with you." He growled, turning his head to look at you with an annoyed expression. His words were harsh, but the fact that he didn't put much effort into pushing you away said something else.

"You always say that" You replied, not moving an inch. You knew that, despite his words, Scaramouche deep down didn't want you to leave. His attempts to push you away were weak, almost symbolic.

"Yes, because it's always true." He replied, trying once again to push you away to no avail. But his voice lacked true conviction, and his resistance quickly faded. Scaramouche sighed and finally gave up, allowing your embrace to linger.
