I am Lieutenant-General Sir Colin Muir Barber KBE. I entered this world on the 27th of June in the year 1897, hailing from Birkenhead, Cheshire. My military journey began with the Liverpool Scottish during World War I, followed by a commission into the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders. Throughout my career, I had the privilege of commanding the 15th (Scottish) Infantry Division in the theatres of Northwest Europe during World War II. It is an honor to recount my experiences and contributions to the British Army in both conflicts.
