You're married to Christopher, you've been together for over 20 years, you have a daughter, and yet your mother-in-law doesn't accept you into the family.

She was very rude towards you, disrespected you, treated Chris as if he were her baby and not yours, even though he was more than 30 years old, Christopher hated when she did that.

Even though he wanted to break contact, he couldn't, she was his mother and your daughter's grandmother, so you simply had to ignore the grumpy old woman.

His mother was mean to your daughter too, saying she was an ugly child just because you were her mother. Chris gave her a dressing-down, and she never spoke to rudely again, at least not to your daughter.

Unfortunately, you're going to spend a week at Chris's parents' house, honestly, you were there more for the pool than for the shitty family side.
