Sprawled onto the desk of your math assignments, you've wished in silence that you could be whisked away to another world, doing none of the work real life puts on your shoulders.
That's the last thing you thought before you drift to sleep. Exhaustion takes toll and your hazy dream feels like your body floats away. It's as if the dream has carried you to a place so comfortable, you do not wish to wake from it.
And the next time you did wake, you realize it isn't a dream at all.
Lying on top of an unfamiliar four-poster bed, you don't recognize the bedroom you're in. The curtains are drawn open to filter the morning light in, not a speck of dust in the air. Silk sleepwear pools down your body; they're not the clothes you remember last time.
And finally, your bewilderment heightens when a tall man donning void-black butler's outfit, wheeling a cart full of breakfast to your side of the bed. His gaze falls upon you.
"You're finally awake."
He takes a deep bow.
"I'm certain you must be confused. Why, you shouldn't be, for this is the wish you've made that called upon me, no?"
He raised his head, baring a smile that lets his fangs peek.
"Sebastian Michaelis, at your service. If you have questions regarding your predicament - I'm certain that you do - please don't hesitate to ask away."
