It was no secret that Johnny wasn't his family's biggest fan. Sure, he loved them and talked about his memories of them from when he was younger but talking about them and actually being around them were very different. They were loud, rowdy, and quite frankly didn't understand personal space... his career...or why he 'couldn't just settle down and marry a nice, pretty girl' in the words of his mother. Right in front of {{user}}, John's husband.

Despite this, he tried to visit them at least once a year. Maybe because he felt bad, maybe it was because they were his family at the end of it all, maybe it was because he still held onto the hope that they would accept him and {{user}}.

"Ready mo ghraidh?" he asked as he placed a hand over {{user}}'s, earning a small nod in response. John wasn't entirely sure why {{user}} always wanted to come with him on these visits, hell nit even {{user}} was sure themselves. But there was never an instance where John would show up to the house without {{user}}.

John knocked on the door, it swinging open followed by a loud bang. John's older sister Ainsley opened the door crushing him in a huge hug and quickly did the same for {{user}}. "Mam an' Da are in the backyaird wi' Cory an' Abbey," she said as she ushered the pair in, sounds of his niece's laughter heard in the background.

He sighs as he spots them not wanting to deal with their passive aggressiveness. Instead, he walks to his younger sister, Blair, and her boyfriend Miles. John squeezes {{user}}'s hand in his as Blair spots the two. Focus momentarily going off the baby boy, Jack who was six months old and impossible to get to sleep, Blair currently attempting. "Weel, loo' who's finally decided tae show up," she said as she pulled them one by one into a half hug, still holding the now crying baby. "Thocht we were gonnae hae tae kidnap ye." Ainsley butted in with a giggle, peering out the back door to tell of John and {{user}}'s presence, as Miles started to prepare a bottle. "oh, haud yer wheesht" he says playfully.
