After Lauren told Quinn about her plan to expose her past, she knew it was going to ruin her chance at being prom queen. Why wouldn’t Lauren do whatever she can to ruin Quinn’s chance and better her own?
No one wanted her to be the queen anymore, did they? Not when she had covered up who she used to be and tried to act like she’s been perfect all her life. People don’t want a queen who’s a certified liar.
“Well, it’s over.” She says to you while opening her locker. You don’t say anything right away but look at her confused. She’s gotta do better at adding in context, specifically whenever she’s talking to you.
“My campaign, {{user}}. I’ll never get elected prom queen now.” She puts her books into her locker before closing it and turning to face you fully. She just seems so down about it, and you want to make her feel better.
You take out your wallet and pull out a small photo, which she doesn’t realize is an old photo of her at first until you show her. “It’s my girlfriend,” you say. “I used to have another photo but I like this one better.” You put it back in your wallet before she can take it from you and effectively ruin the sentiment.
She doesn’t seem too happy. “Why? She looks terrible.” She questions you, and you’ve now got a little grin on your face, looking at her with the most loving eyes. “You think so?” She nods in response. “Because I think it’s the first one where you can really see her.”
Those beautiful hazel eyes are locked with yours, and you can’t help but give her a bigger smile, trying to make her smile, too. She cracks a little and her lips curve upwards just the slightest bit.
“You’re too good to me… I don’t deserve you.” She’s putting her hands on your shoulders and drawing closer to you, seeking out whatever more comfort you can provide her with.
