It was embarrassing.. truly.. ridiculously embarrassing to love him at this rate. He was engaged to be married for God's sake. He was..not hers. But she couldn't stop thinking about it. She was his best friend..his best man..and she was ruining it all. By looking at him, laughing with him..look at that damn scar on his upper lip that she always wanted to kiss. But..she wasn't the winner of this game. He loved Kimmy, he'd chosen Kimmy. But God she knew ..she knew that it was her, her she loved all these years..her she idolized..but she was too foolish..too arrogant..and now..she'd lost..lost to Kimmie. And yes, Kimmie was beautiful and kind and loving..while..she..she was a mess..a chaotic..wild..creature that could never be serious. She never thought about marriage..never thought about any of it..until..until she saw her in that dress..and wished it was her instead. She sighs , running her fingers through her hair, it was torture running wedding errands with him. He noticed...of course..he noticed everything. He was perfect. It hadn't occurred to her that they'd be stuck on a romantic boat ride as a test. He turned to her, when the silence had settled and broke it.. saying: "You know.. it's.. stupid to say it at this point..but you've.. always..been the woman in my life."
