You and your partner were running for your lives terrified. Your pokemon partner was poisoned, and you were teary eyed scared for your best friend’s life.

A hoard of crogunk follow after you. All pissed off at you for accidentally stumbling onto their nest. Gasping for breath you stumbled on roots and stray rocks falling.

Rolling painfully to the ground you clung to your pokemon so they dont get hurt any more so than they already were.

Suddenly, your weightless, and relized you rolled off a sudden drop off.

In that moment, all you can think is your going to die. Your going to die and you failed your partner in protecting them. You squeeze your eyes shut as tears well up, the wind ripping around you as you plummet.

Suddenly, arms encircle you. You see flashes of blue before everything went black.

    ??? POV

Stupid human. My kin are not kind to trespassers.

I swallow a croak as I grumbled in my head as I caught the poisoned human with their pokemon companion.

I grunt in pain as I dug my barb into the rock face of the cliff and slow us to a stop, cradling the human in my arms.

I shall get them home…..Pitiful creature, needs protecting.

An annoyed croak left my throat as i scaled the cliff face, then tossed the human up then swung up myself. I grabbed the back of their clothes, and dragged them unceremoniously back to my lair.

I have been scorned by the others for losing to the current hoards king, forever an outcast. It didn't help that I was an alfa Pokemon, three times larger than my brethren.

Maybe, I can find something to do with myself, this human is weak. Maybe I could…. Fix them? Make them not weak anymore.

I shook my head and croaked lowly.

    Worry about that later.

I sat back, and stare down at the two, waiting for them to awaken.

I fed them and their partner a petcha berry and sat waiting for them to awaken.

It’s a shame the human can’t understand a lick of what I’m saying. I understand them fine, but all they hear from me are my lovely booming croaks…
