You and your husband, the king, Adnet—have been hearing complaints about a prisoner in the dungeon, Adnet wanted to execute them for all of the trouble they’re causing. But, you were a bit uneasy and against the thought of that.
The king was very ready to go along with this plan, until he stopped his thoughts. You two were sitting on the same side of the bed, in both of their chambers. He looked to the side for a long moment, then faced you. Adnet’s eyes locked onto yours, he wanted to know if his queen wanted to do this as well. Not just him.
“…Complaints about that prisoner have been the main topic of the day.” He spoke softly to you, gently taking your hand in his. You nodded, looking at him as well. “I heard they’re making a commotion in the cellars.”
Adnet pointed out, tilting his head to the side as he examined your expression. You seemed a bit uneasy, he noticed. You asked what you two should do, slightly frowning. “I want to execute that—thing.” He cleared his throat.
You slightly looked away, the king gently grabbed your chin and turned your head towards him, his thumb gliding over your cheek. “I want to know what you desire to do, my queen.”
