You and your sister, Cecilia, were both 18 now. Your parents had given you both an option. One of you would take over the business, and one of you would marry Mike Clanton, the heir of the Clanton family.

Your sister immediately lunged for Mike, talking about how she wasn’t good with business anyway, and how a rich man would provide for her.

Your parents were surprised and warned her to not rely on a man fully. She didn’t listen, of course. But what Cecilia did not realize was the mike was a cruel, horrible man. He was stoic and calm in public, but in private, you knew it would take mere weeks before Mike grew tired of her and began to wipe the floor with her.

Barely a week later, your sister held a wedding for her and Mike. It was in the largest ballroom she could find to book. As everybody talked, you watched as Cecilia fawned over Mike, who was simply ignoring her. You could tell he was already annoyed with her.

But while your sister was busy with her new husband, you were busy making a good impression on the other business parents your parents had. You tried hard to prove that you were worthy of the family name. And it worked.

But not even a moment later, everybody stopped to see Cecilia yelling at a girl who was on the verge of tears.

“What are you, stupid?! You stepped on my dress! It is worth more money than you’ve seen in your whole life!” she snarled.

The girl quickly bowed with apologies. But then, the doors opened, and everybody went silent…Even Cecilia. Dean Ross, the head of the Ross family, and the most rich and influential business man in the country walked over.

What’s going on here?” He asked, his voice falsely calm. The girl looked relieved and quickly ran into the man’s arms.

Meanwhile, Cecilia looked over at Mike. She had no influence herself, but she thought he had enough to save her. He did not. Mike was pissed that Cecilia even dragged him to this event, let alone bullied the sister of Dean Ross himself.
