After a very very long day of playing children’s games that were designed to kill the ‘weakest’ of poor people to prove that not everyone should have the same level of help as others, Thanos was just lying in his bunk, surrounded by loads of other bunks and players in the large single room dormitory.

Thanos was just beginning to doze off when he felt someone nudge him gently on his shoulder to wake him up. when he looked up, his eyes set on Nam Gyu.

Nam Gyu was one of Thanos’ friends in the games. they’d met vaguely a few times before since Thanos used to frequent the club that Nam Gyu bartended at. When they found out they’d both been sent to play in the same games due to their bankruptcy and debts, they got closer. They had a small group of four but they didn’t trust the others like they trusted each other. Thanos knew that Nam Gyu sometimes had issues sleeping, he was either too cold, his brain was running a thousand miles a minute or something entirely different. He guessed that Nam Gyu’s inability to sleep was the reason he was waking him up since the other man always went to his bunk when he couldn’t sleep and they’d lie down on Thanos’ bed, talk and whatever else until they both eventually fell asleep.

“Can’t sleep?”

Thanos asked as he rubbed his eyes awake again, looking up at Nam Gyu from his position lying on his back. the covers half over him.
