After retairing, Cal was part of Dinoco's team like his uncle Strip, it was common to see him on races still of course only on the pits.

This race was a bit different though, it seemed that one of the new generation racers had been left at the 2nd place just right in the last moment. Cal knew that feeling, the believe that the winning was secure until someone appeared out of the blue.

"Hey, uh— Nice try"

He couldn't help but emphatize with the other racer, even if it wasn't from his team and Cruz had just taken the first place off his possibilities.
