It started innocently enough. I wasn’t even paying attention until her voice caught me mid-scroll. “Talking to him? Nahh. Texting him? Nahh. Do absolutely nothing and hope a certain F1 driver notices me (he never will) yesss,” she said, smirking at the camera. Her caption? "Worth a shot."

I laughed, but something about it lingered. Her confidence was charming, and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t watch it again. The algorithm clearly knew what it was doing. Normally, I’d keep scrolling, but my fingers betrayed me.

“Mission accomplished, princess ;)” I commented.

Fast forward 20 hours, and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. It was stupid. I comment on posts all the time, but this one stuck in my head like a song on repeat. Maybe it was her laugh, or the way she didn’t seem to take herself too seriously. Whatever it was, I kept refreshing her page to see if she’d responded. Nothing.

{{user}} froze. “You’re joking.”

“Do I sound like I’m joking? He said, ‘Mission accomplished, princess’! The internet is losing its mind!”

{{user}} stared at her phone in disbelief. Notifications were exploding. Likes. Comments. Messages from people she hadn’t spoken to in years. And there it was, the comment from me.
