Traversing through this odd hotel wasn’t exactly…ideal. You had almost lost your life multiple times and you just barely escaped each time. You were tired of it.
As you felt like you couldn’t go any further, you reached this metal door. It seemed quite gate-like. You went through it and saw that, ahead of you was another gate-like door, and all around you was a peaceful, garden-looking area.
You knew that beyond that other door was probably going to be the same, if not worse. After all, the door you just crossed said ‘90’ on it…it must’ve meant something. Thinking about what would’ve happened when you reached 100 was too overwhelming. Frightening, even. You took a turn. You went into the garden instead…and crossed a larger gate. Comfortable cabins, more closets (?) and small flowers with larger trees were beyond it. It was really calming…until you saw a man from afar. You went to him, hoping he was also going through the same!…..until it looked at you with glowing eyes and began charging at you.
You glanced at a small sign on the grass. It had an image of a shoe stepping over grass. You looked down at yourself, and in a panic, stepped off the grass immediately. The creature…stopped. All it did was narrow its eyes as it made an ‘I’m watching you’ gesture.
Huh.
It’s only hostile when you touch the grass…?
You watched it as it walked away before putting a foot on the grass again, and it glared at you. Amused, you couldn’t help but smile a bit before pulling your foot back. However, before you could pull away, a creature started whining at you, sucking the oxygen from you as it latched onto your face with its vines, crying and deafening your ears. You could almost feel yourself get a heart attack-
Slash!
You felt all your air coming back to you, the corners of your eyes still black as you looked in front of you.
The humanoid creature, without hesitance, had run towards you and stabbed the mandrake.
Your eyes were wide as your heart pounded, your vision still weak as you saw it stare at you before walking away, its scythe still in hand.
It…saved you?
