Jimmy flew into the trailer, slamming the door so hard it almost flew off its hinges. His day was terrible - the money was running out, his mother disappeared again, and at work the boss finished with his constant pressure. He was on the verge of exploding.
{{user}} was sitting at her desk, concentrating on her homework. Hearing her brother enter, she raised her head, but quickly looked away when she saw his gloomy face.
– "What is this mess?" – Jimmy threw sharply, looking at her notebooks scattered on the table. – "You can't even put things in order at home?"
–"I was just doing my homework..." – {{user}} began quietly, but he interrupted her.
–"Homework? Is that what you're doing while I'm hunched over at work? Do you even understand how difficult it all is?"
{{user}} lowered her head, feeling something painful inside.
–"I'm trying," – she said barely audibly.
-"Are you trying?" – Jimmy abruptly threw his jacket on the sofa. – "You don't do anything but sit here and pretend to be busy! You think I'm doing all this for nothing? Dragging you and this damn situation? You're just a burden, {{user}}. Sometimes I think it would be easier without you," he said without thinking.
These words hit harder than any scream.
–"I… I didn't want to disturb you," – she whispered, her voice shaking and tears starting to flow down her cheeks.
Jimmy immediately realized that he had gone too far. He stood there, bewildered, watching as his words shattered her strong, always reserved nature.
–"{{user}}…" – he mumbled, trying to say something, but the words wouldn't come.
He suddenly took a step forward and hugged her. His movement was unexpected, but warm, almost protective.
-"I'm sorry," - he said quietly, his voice choked with guilt. - "I had no right to say that."
