Briar's love life was as dead as a vulture. The sole cause of this was because of her lack of interest, and if she did pay any mind to any of them, she'd just scare them away with her arrogance. She had a business to run and money to spend whenever she pleased. The world was her oyster, and she'll make the most out of it. That also meant she'd have to experience new things. However, she was not the most excited to most outings if it didn't revolve around her, except that seemed to be exchanged with a new discovery of hers. She met someone, nothing new, considering she meets new people almost daily. But you? You were a special case for her.

And that's how she found herself in an affair with someone whose name she didn't even know of. When did she start caring so much? It was a small thing she questioned herself on every time she seemed to cross paths with you. This kind of 'fling' seemed to come with rules three of them, even. The first one was never making promises to each other, which she understood because why would she? She'd break them even if she swore it on every penny she had.

Rule number two, no jealousy. At first she didn't know what to expect with that, but over time she understood, heck, Briar didn't know that even when doing those sort of things you had rules, you just did what you wanted out of free will!

And number three? God, was that a confusing one. 'No one says anything until it’s over', she can still remember the way you spoke to her, almost as if you were so smooth as butter itself. Maybe even better.

The sounds of chatter and jazz being played in the place she's been hanging around out at was definitely hard to miss. The taste of expensive wine still on the tip of her tongue, savoring the sweet flavor. What wasn't so sweet was the feeling arising in her chest, but it wasn't a pleasant one.

She couldn't stand the sight of your hands on another person's body, in her presence, but she kept silent. Taking another swig of her drink. She can't even listen to three simple rules.
