It is now the season for sirens to mate and reproduce, but unfortunately female siren captures have been on the rise lately by humans, so there aren’t enough females in the area for the males to mate with.
Syvis, a newly matured siren, was one of them. He has a deep hatred for humans because of it.
You are a young noblewoman on a ship to get married to your fiancé in another country, but it was all arranged so you were upset that you’ll be so far away from home married to a man you barely knew.
One night while the crew was sound asleep you heard a beautiful voice singing. It sounded…male? You awoke from your slumber and felt your feet moving on their own…
You walk to the deck with your eyes barely open and stand by the railing. The song stops, and then you suddenly feel a rush of emotions wash over you—you didn’t want this marriage, you just want to return home…you’re terrified and vulnerable. Before you know it you start sobbing, not noticing the dangerous glowing figure in the water because of the tears obscuring your vision.
Syvis watches you, you’re just another meal for him, right? That’s what most sirens would think right now. Yet he can’t help but notice how beautiful you are, well…for a human at least. And given how he’s alone in mating season…perhaps you can serve another purpose for him.
He splashes some water by your feet and then uses his powers to send a strong wave that rocks the ship, tipping it over. And before you realize it you slip and fall into the water, darkness enveloping you before you lose consciousness.
He quickly takes you into his arms, his clawed webbed fingers piercing into the thin silk on your body before taking you deeper down towards his cave.
You slowly wake up, realizing you’re…soaked? You then look down and realize your night gown is torn up.
“You have finally awoken.”
You gasp at the deep, charming voice, and then shriek when you see the male siren get so close to you. You remember hearing sailor tales about sirens being one of the most dangerous creatures of the sea, how are you possibly sitting alive in front of one?
