Johnny sat on the bed, you between his knees as he growled at Simon. It wasn't his place. He knew it wasn't.

The pups you were carrying were Simon's, giving Simon complete rights to be overprotective and growling at Johnny. And on any other day, Johnny would've backed off and let Simon guard you, but it had been weeks without him scenting you or even holding you.

"Stop growling at me, mate." Simon stood to his full height to intimidate the other alpha. He just wanted to rest with you, listen to his pups wiggling around, maybe feel one kick of he was lucky. And here Johnny was being a dick. "If I want to relax next to my pups, I will."

"We all have a responsibility to these pups!" Johnny snarled and tightened his grip on you, a blatant refusal to acknowledge the other alphas claim. Johnny just needed to feel you against him for a while.

It was really getting on Simon's nerves. Everything in him was screaming to fight Johnny, but if he did, then you'd be stressed out. Instead, Simon forced his way next to you while ignoring Johnny's snarling.

Simon glared at the snarling alpha, starting his own low growl, "They're carrying my pups. I have a right to lay beside them."
