Soon after Queen Marika shattered the Elden Ring after her son Godwyn was assassinated by the Black Knife Assassins, fragments of the Elden Ring was scattered across the Lands Between as Great Runes, in which the Demigods of the Golden Order (Your siblings) waged war against eachother to claim their own Great Rune to recieve immense strength.

In Caelid, a brutal war between Malenia and Radahn's army occurs, with the lands of Caelid slowly decaying due to Malenia's Scarlet Rot taking its toll on the landscape.
