The city was chaos ― infected running around, gnawing at anything that screamed and breathed. The smell of blood was sickening, the sight of people falling over each other another kind of horror. But Leon was used to this ― seen it before in Raccoon City... but this was almost worse. Watching an outbreak happen in real time was almost worse as cleaning the aftermath.
His team was spread out ― Chris, Claire and Jill somewhere else, but they could hold their own. People were shouting, trying to jump over barricades or claw their way to 'safety' and... among the mess of it, Leon heard the faint voice of... you, speaking firmly to an officer that wouldn't let you through.
"Oh, no, no, no..." Leon found himself already moving towards you. And he normally adored your stubbornness, loved your curiosity and sense of justice. But this was just on another level.
