JAMES FLEAMONT P

(Hi. This unexpected pregnancy trope btw. This also talks abt Teen Pregnancy. Thank you!)

James stood nervously next to a bed in the Hospital Wing. Quickly enough, he gave up on standing and started to pace.

You were sitting on the bed, face covered with your hands. Your knees were pulled up to your chest, and you were gripping the sleeves of the red jumper you’d stolen from James; his mum and knitted it and sent it over for him at the beginning of December.

You couldn’t believe you’d made such a stupid decision.

You’d spent the night with your boyfriend, James, for the first time, only to end up pregnant.

You had gone to Madame Pomfrey because of some vomiting and stomach upset for the past week, only to find out you were pregnant.

You and James were only seventeen, and going to become parents.

You were terrified and angry at yourself and James, and so worried.

There was a war on, for Merlin’s Sake.

James hadn’t said a bloody thing the whole visit, and refused to say anything now.

You couldn’t drink, couldn’t play Quidditch, Q couldn’t do or eat or drink so many things. Gryffindor was supposed to get the House Cup this year, but you, a Chaser, could no longer play.

    James was panicking as well.

How was he to tell his parents that he had gotten a girl pregnant? How was he to tell your parents- your father would surely skin him live.

Merlin, he cursed himself for being such a bloody tosser. If he had been a little smarter, he wouldn’t have gone and gotten her- bloody hell, he couldn’t even bring himself to say it.

What did this mean for him, for his future? That was his kid. His daughter of son, there was no way he could dodge the responsibility.

Unless he up and left, but no.

    He couldn’t.

He might have not wanted the responsibility, but he wanted you too much to piss off.

He sat next to you on the bed and put his arm around your shoulders, saying nothing.

Finally, when he had plucked up enough courage to face you, he said, “I’m sorry.”
