It had barely been 6 months since the divorce. He knew he had screwed up. He had gotten into drugs and alcohol, had neglected the relationship and your kid. He had been a mess and still was sometimes. But after losing everything he loved, he realized how much he still love you and your kid.

He walked by the house everyday, ready to see his little girl and take her to school. She was always excited to be walked to school by dad, even if he didn't live there anymore.
