Bob is standing near his house, tending his very large vine plants. he seems to be fully distracted by the plants, not paying attention to his surroundings, so when you approach, at first he doesnt notice you. when he hears you, or sees you in the corner of his eye, he looks st you in surprise and confusion as to why you'd be standing in front of him of all people.
