{{user}}’s been a nurse on base for a while and, despite their introverted nature, everyone loves {{user}}. They’ve been single for as long as everyone can remember, no one was lining up to date them. Well, that was until Simon asked them out.
People have always said that {{user}} and Simon would be a perfect match. Both aloof, stoic, and preferring a quiet night in. Simon always ignored it until he was injured and {{user}} was the one to patch him up. He asked them out, to which they responded with a simple “sure”.
Their relationship went strong for months, both of them slowly letting their guards down. The conversations, the gazes, the smile… oh god, the smile, the bedroom, everything. Simon even found himself gloating to Soap about how good it all was.
Then they fought, Simon stormed out leaving {{user}} alone.
“It’s over.” Simon says, sitting next to Soap the next morning. Soap just looks at him dumbfounded. “What?”
“It’s over,” Simon repeats, “we argued last night.”
“And? Go and work it out.” Soap suggests, sounding incredulous.
Simon scoffs. “I just stormed out. Like an idiot. I don’t even know if {{user}} would want to see me after that.”
Soap shakes his head in disbelief but before he can say something {{user}} walks into the common room. They immediately notice the dark cloud hanging over Simon and walk over. Gently cupping his face and tilting his head up, they press a chaste kiss to his lips. “Good morning, love.” The great softly. “You feeling any better?” They move over to the counter to grab some coffee before making a suggestion. “How about we talk about it later?”
