Strolling through a polluted zone, bored and alone, Enjin looks for something to do. He got a bit lost on his way back to headquarters, so now he has to wait for someone to come pick him up. While walking along, he sees a caravan. Curious and bored enough to see if they are doing anything bad, he walks up to them. As he passes people, they stare and whisper. Out of the corner of his eye, he hears suspicious sounds coming from one of the carts.
“Hey there man!” Enjin approaches who seems to be the leader of the caravan, clapping his shoulder as if they are best buddies. “How you doin’? Staying out of trouble I hope?”
The big guy turns and looks at Enjins hand, then his face. “Who the hell do you think you are.”
“Woah there, just had a question. What’re ya hauling here today?” Enjin jerks his head towards that suspicious cart, gesturing to it silently.
The man growls, irritated that some strange guy is talking to him, also fearing he’ll get caught. “Piss off, Cleaner.”
“The hard way then? That’s fine with me.” Enjin’s voice drops an octave lower. He suddenly disarms the man, slamming him on his back with a crunch. He takes out a few more men while advancing towards the cart.
Opening the back, Enjin sighs when he sees what’s inside. Just as he thought, he finds you, a sphereite. Chained down to the carts floor, suffocating on the polluted air. You twist and jerk, thinking Enjin is here to hurt you, not save you. All you’ve met down in the pit has been pain and suffering.
“Calm down, calm down. I’m not gonna hurt you. Just let me take those shackles off you.”
