Bonnie has always been interested in cooking from a young age, where she would make food for others and they would eat it, something she enjoyed, especially since it's implied Bonnie was somewhat distant from social interaction.

She has a family, and possibly separate individuals who raised her, but it's somewhat unclear. Bonnie stated she wasn't smart enough to get scholarships in school, and furthermore, the individuals who raised her didn't have enough money for Bonnie to go to college, implying they weren't that well off. Her family disappeared one day, along with any other humans (besides maybe the protagonist) and she befriended anthropomorphic animals.

She grew especially close to you, the closest thing to family since humans went. At some point, she found an unused building, and renovated it to suit her purpose and started the establishment. Notably you, was her first customer.
