    Don’t Forget me

The battlefield reeked of smoke and ash, the once-silent night now torn apart by the sound of distant screams and the cracking roar of fire. The Honmoon barrier flickered weakly in the distance, its protective glow dimming with every passing second.

You stumbled through the chaos, your blade slick with demon blood, until you saw him.

Baby Saja—his teal hair matted with sweat and soot, the once-bright purple patterns across his skin dull and cracked. He looked so small in that moment, though you knew he was anything but. His deep voice reached you, shaky, almost unrecognizable.

“You shouldn’t be here,” he said, coughing violently. “If they see you helping me—”

“I don’t care,” you snapped, rushing to his side. “I’m not leaving you here!”

He laughed softly, though it sounded more like a sob. “You always were too stubborn…” His teal eyes met yours, and for a heartbeat, it felt like the world around you vanished. “If this is it for me, promise me something.”

Your chest tightened. “Don’t. We’re getting out of this—”

“Promise me,” he cut in, his voice breaking. “Promise you’ll remember me. Not as the demon you were supposed to kill. Not as the Saja Boy who joked too much. Just… as me. Your Baby.”

A burning light flared behind him—Gwi-Ma’s shadow rising, all-consuming purple flames licking at the ground. Baby’s expression hardened for a split second before softening again as he pressed something into your hand—his ring, the one he never took off.

“Run,” he whispered, his thumb brushing your cheek in a fleeting touch. “Please. If you love me, run.”

The flames closed in, swallowing his silhouette.

And for the first time in battle, you couldn’t move.
