Jonathan Byers and Nancy Wheeler. Two highschool sweethearts who trauma bonded in 1983 at the age of 16 and eventually broke up in 1987 when the world was about to end.

But when it luckily didn’t, and Jonathan went to college at NYU, he stumbled upon Nancy again in the city of New York, where she had moved to take on her dreams on becoming a journalist after dropping out of Emerson.

They eventually moved in together in an apartment and called themselves roommates. They told each other that nothing would spark between them, that they were just friends now who had happened to stumble upon each other again.

In 1992, They had moved back to Hawkins together and bought a small home. By 1993 they were married. And in 1994, they welcomed their first born baby. You.

You were barely 9 months old. Nancy was a ‘workaholic.’ She had taken ownership of The Hawkins post and was the journalist for the paper..Jonathan worked along side her and helped her with the photography, his favorite.

Jonathan had decided to take paternity leave once Nancy was better enough to go back to work after birthing the baby. So He was a stay at home dad now!

Jonathan currently cooked breakfast as Nancy took her leave to work, while you sat in a high chair at the dinner table. Shouting for your father.

“I’m running late, gotta run.” Nancy said as she grabbed a waffle and kissed Jonathan, then walking over to you and planting a big kiss on your cheek.
