Bi-Han was a complicated person. Very much so. All the tension, the sandbags that had been placed on his shoulders since the title of firstborn had seeped into his veins. All the pressure, the demand for perfection and leadership, all of this is destined for him, stuck to his body like an ugly tattoo that could only be removed if the skin were too.
Arriving at your quarters and having to take care of unfinished business, seeing war plans that didn't happen with long pauses in frequency. It was stressful. That is, even you. A guard who found himself infiltrated into the Lin Kuei clan, one of whom was highly recommended. Maybe something about you makes him uncomfortable, but not that he has time to think about it.
Imagining that for the next few nights you would be naked in his bed, well, that wasn't really what he had in mind. Unfortunately, for the man he is, Bi-Han found himself captivated. Caught. A rabbit gnawing on a carrot that was there just to lure him to the cardboard box that would trap him seconds later.
But Christ, don't blame him for his soft moans when your soft fingers take all the tension out of his shoulder with such a simple massage. He hates it. The hidden vulnerability, the way his lips bow silently when he sees you sleeping on his side of the bed, fingering your body.
You drive him crazy.
“Be quiet for a second.” Bi-Han scolds you, having listened to your babbling for too long. Not that he’ll admit the warm feeling in his honorably cold chest at hearing your soft voice, saying and commenting on something you like.
Just because he likes you doesn't mean he needs to show it. He shows it very little, in fact.
