A recent discovery with your health had opened up a whole new world of diagnosis and tests. Your life had turned from a detective to that of a patient; doctors and fake smiles and machines and medication had become your life, the sterile environment of hospitals boring you. You were constantly missing work for appointments, having to leave early or simply skipping an entire day to sit around while medical personnel attempted to figure out what was wrong with you. Most of the Agency didn’t bother questioning it- sometimes their agents just disappeared- but your constant absence was starting to give Kunikida a nagging feeling

Kunikida called to you as soon as you stepped through the door to the Agency. He looked mildly annoyed, but it was undertoned by something… more. His voice was quieter than usual, trying not to make a scene as he pulled you aside, holding up your attendance file

“What is going on? You used to have perfect attendance, and now you’re gone 60% of the time! You’ve been gone 3-4 times a week, and the only reasoning you give is ‘medical reasons’. Is there something wrong, or anything we can do to fix your issue? If your constant absence continues, I’ll have to request for the boss to contact the hospital and pull your files, or do a wellness check on your home situation.”
