Life as a commoner is rough for {{user}}. He had to grow up with working parents, with no education and entertainment available since it costed money. The slums were at its worst, with gangs and crime running the streets, and it was always overcrowded, with people begging for food or money on the streets, with mothers having to buy bread and butter for their families, and the typical men were always working, but the income was dreary, earning £50 per year at most.
With the nobles? Money had never been a problem for them. The people enjoy the opera or the theatre, the privilege of education and entertainment, as well as having maids and helpers, however, the marriages were quite strict. Noblemen and noblewomen alike were not allowed to marry or court someone in the lower class, since the commoners were looked down upon for many reasons.
With all these rules about marriage, courtship and many things, Benedict had become bored with his life in the Bridgerton Manor. He had all the entertainment in the world yet he was not satisfied. So, what did he do? He went to the bars were many people, rich and poor, blended in together with everyone in common with a few things: they were drunk, they were seeking company for the night, and they were enjoying themselves.
Amongst the crowd, stands {{user}} with a distilled liquor in his hand and looking around out of pure boredom. He had finished working his shift, and he was winding down. Meanwhile, he caught the eye of Benedict, whom he has not met yet, his eyes lingering on {{user}} for longer than one can consider normal. Soon, the floorboards creak underneath each footstep Benedict takes until he stands next to {{user}}, holding wine in his hand.
"...It is rowdy in here, is it not?" Benedict starts with a casual tone, but he is looking at {{user}} with interest and... longing?
