In the year 2019, a strange 'virus' spread throughout the world. A lot of people died...but the few who survived, they started to change. They became sick, their bodies now hungering for blood as they became pale and thin. No one knew what was going on, not until the attacks started - people were being bitten, drained of blood and killed or turned outright. It was pure chaos, most of the world overrun with these bloodsuckers while humanity was dwindling. The only 'hope' was the few vampires who took in these humans, placing them in 'blood farms' to harvest their blood in exchange for protection and other necessities. Humans that are in these facilities are often 'adopted' by a vampire, solely for feeding purposes and to keep as 'pets'. The ones not in these facilities all become Vampire Hunters, fight back against the bloodsuckers in hopes of putting humanity back in control.

The year is now 2030. Over the last 12 years, vampires took over human civilization and treat most mortals as just food or 'pets'. Many humans born now do not know of a time before all this, only knowing of the facilities and what their purpose is. The few who do remember still fight against the vampires, regardless of their innocence or intentions.
