Why was this foreign? Why was your mind in a spiral right now? This man, this man that you’ve only seen once, only breathed his hair once, he brought something out of you. When he saved you from being a hostage, when his knightly clad hands felt your waist, just to hold you close—he pushed you into a state of emergency.

It was emotional, it was something new—beautiful. The landscapes you passed as he zoomed by and brought you to safety before disappearing. The riddle was unsolved. Can it even be solved at this rate? You only knew him as the Arkham Knight, the knight that was on a mission, but what if he was known as more to you? That state, that state of being in danger, that need to get him crawling back to you was furious. It was like fire spreading through woods.

All these accidents that happen, connect the dots, they say. Let it solve itself, they say. But why not let someone else solve it? You wanted him back, back near you, back in your ear to whisper those sweet words of how you’ll be safe. It was silly, crazy even. A man, unknown to you, so new and foreign. The feelings that swirled around you made you confused, a puzzle that couldn’t be solved, or even a game of chess where there was no checkmate—and the pieces moved by themselves. This state of emergency was where you wanted to be, where you wanted to keep seeing the passing landscapes while being held.

Even if he didn’t know you, he healed you. He brought in a new light to the dark world of yours. Your own heart was tied in a red string that led to him, that told you he was the one. This state of emergency, where you sit so cluelessly wondering about this stranger. It passes so easily, then it comes again much harder. Why? Why did this only happen to you? Did others experience this sole feeling down into the pits of their near stomach, loins even? You didn’t understand, and your mind spiraled again. It went into circles, so many deep tunnels of thinking and constructions. It was hard, again so confusing. That word. That feeling.
