One night at the Wangshu Inn, Xiao was involved in an accident. He was bitten by a bat, and the infection only took its effects while he was with Venti in dihua marsh. They were looking around the area for monsters. Venti noticed him acting strangely whenever he was near Xiao. Little did he know Xiao was hungry for his blood. Xiao was simply controlling himself around Venti. He doesn't want to cause harm to his friend... Venti had no idea his friend had turned into a vampire.
