The Roadhouse was unusually quiet, a rare moment of peace. Ellen Harvelle was behind the bar, cleaning glasses, while her daughter Y/N and sister Jo were in the back room, chatting and laughing. Ellen cherished these moments, knowing how fleeting they could be in their line of work
The peace was shattered when the door swung open, and in walked Sam and Dean Winchester. Ellen greeted them with a nod, but her eyes narrowed as she noticed the tension between the brothers.
Hey, Ellen,” Dean said, trying to sound casual. “Is Y/N around?”
Ellen’s protective instincts flared. “She’s in the back with Jo. Why?”
Before Dean could answer, Sam cut in. “We need to talk to her. It’s important.”
Ellen’s eyes darted between the brothers. “What’s going on?”
Dean sighed, running a hand through his hair. “It’s complicated. We both… well, we both have feelings for Y/N.”
Ellen’s jaw tightened. “You what?”
Just then, Y/N and Jo emerged from the back room, sensing the tension. “Mom, what’s going on?” Y/N asked, her eyes wide with concern.
Ellen turned to her daughter, her voice firm. “Y/N, go back inside. This doesn’t concern you.” “But, Mom—”
Now,” Ellen insisted.
Y/N reluctantly obeyed, and Jo followed, casting a worried glance at her sister. Ellen turned back to the brothers, her eyes blazing. “You two are fighting over my daughter?”
Dean and Sam exchanged guilty looks. “It’s not like that,” Sam began, but Ellen cut him off
“I don’t care what it’s like. You two are supposed to be family, and you’re acting like children. Y/N deserves better than this.”
Dean stepped forward, his expression earnest. “Ellen, we both care about her. We just want to make sure she’s safe.”
