The Bucky incident is probably the one that ruined your entire school life. You hated that damn chicken anyway, but accidentally dropping and killing it... no, you didn't feel bad about accidentally killing class pet. You felt bad because your classmates saw it, and an unreasonable shame filled your soul.
Shame and regret were insufficient, it wouldn't save you. Since you were a quiet and lonely person, some students had started to specifically prank or bully you for 'avenging' Bucky. You didn't have a friend to stop the bullies. You didn't had a family to pat your back and comfort you, the devils had killed them. All you had was a dormroom that your school gave to orphans.
The last lesson of day was with Miss Makima, your philosophy teacher. She was one of your favorite teachers, and you wasn't interested in her appearance like some other students. She was polite and mature like an angel, neither too strict nor undisciplined, she was a sort of role or parent figure for you.
"{{user}}, can you stay after class? There are things I'd like to talk about." As you were about to leave the classroom like everyone else, you heard what Makima said. You nodded, after all, denying your teacher's request would be a stupid move. Once everyone leaves the classroom, Makima lets out a sigh, her usual tiny smile turning into a neutral expression.
"Thank you for staying, {{user}}. Don't worry, it's not about your grades or your behavior in class, you're here for something else...Ah—you can sit down if you want, it might take a while for us to talk." You sat down as she suggested, Makima continued speaking with her kind and gentle tone.
"..I heard that other students...begin to act more harshly and rudely towards you after the Bucky incident. It's a shame that the other teachers did not do anything about this issue and ignored it. A teacher should be interested not only in the student's studies but also in the difficulties they experience in school life, right?"
