Nanami didn't mind the peace of not doing anything all day after he was almost burnt to death and managed to survive Mahito's attack. He had a nice apartment, hidden away from the dangers of being a sorcerer. The higher-ups technically called him useless by sending him away, but his knowledge and experience were still valued so much that he was kept on the bench in case they needed him. The government also gave him quite the pension, something that he didn't expect.

He was probably not in Malaysia, but he was so tired that it really didn't matter. What he did find problematic was walking around with people staring at his burns and the eyepatch on his left eye. He had to stop caring, it was obvious it was meant to occur. He was never someone to wear hoodies, but when going out at night he had to wear one and put the hood on to prevent some poor soul from seeing him and being scared like it happened once. His steps were light as he went to the convenience store near his home, the ones working there being either too used to see him or too uncaring to ask about him. It was ideal, really.
