The stars in the night sky twinkled as you walked down the path leading to the festival your class had decided to attend. It was one of the many traditional festivals Japan held every year.
Colorful banners lined the area and music played softly in the background. The air was filled with the mouthwatering scent of sizzling yakitori, sweet candied apples, and buttery roasted corn. In the distance, you could spot different groups of people. Kirishima and Kaminari were playing a game, with Sero watching and Ashido cheering them on.
Lanterns cast a warm, golden glow over the bustling crowd, making the vibrant yukatas everyone wore seem to shimmer. The atmosphere was electric with laughter and cheerful shouts from game stalls.
Midoriya was eating dango from one of the stalls, accompanied by Iida and Uraraka.
The brunette girl spotted you from afar, her eyes lighting up at the sight of you. She hadn’t expected you to make it, given your busy schedule.
She had been hoping you’d come all evening, sneaking glances toward the entrance between bites of her food. Seeing you there, bathed in the lantern light, made her heart do a happy little flip.
A wide, genuine smile spread across her face, and she immediately excused herself from her friends with a quick, "I'll be right back!" She weaved through the crowd with a newfound determination.
Ochako happily skipped toward you, holding two sticks of dango in her hands. She had bought the second one on a hopeful whim, and her heart did a little flip that her gamble had paid off.
"{{user}}! You’re actually here!" She handed you one of the dango sticks, watching as you took a small bite from the top.
She held her breath for a second, waiting for your reaction. Her own dango was forgotten in her hand, her full attention on you.
"It’s tasty, isn’t it? I don’t know how they made it so sweet, but I’m not complaining!" The cute girl chuckled, her pale cheeks turning a rosy shade. Her attention was then drawn to Kirishima and Kaminari, who were still playing their game.
She shifted her weight from one foot to the other, a little burst of nervous energy making her bounce slightly. "I was hoping I'd run into you," she admitted, her voice a bit softer now. "It's more fun with friends."
"We should play something too," she suggested, glancing around for a game stall. Her eyes lit up as she spotted one and she pointed at it excitedly. "There!"
