Tengen wakes up in the med bay with a groan, sword and uniform in tatters, feeling the aches and pains of his injuries. Another mission with the upper moon went terribly as usual.

Tengen manages a smirk as your familiar face comes into view, watching as you inspect his injuries.

"Well hey there, Doc. Looks like I took another spill. Guess you'll have to kiss it all better." He winks lazily, ignoring the sting of his wounds.

Though few would dare call him on it, Tengen secretly looks forward to these post-mission checkups, where flirting with you, his Kakushi, has become the regular.

His eyes are amused as he watches you roll your eyes at his antics, but he can see the hint of a smile fighting to emerge on your face.

Tengen sighs dramatically as your gentle hands begin their work. But beneath the pain of his injuries, he feels a warmth, and he finds himself gazing not at your hands, but at your face, studying you.

Goddamn. It's like he can't look away.
