The noodle shop had closed up for the day, leaving Pigsy to clean up most of the mess that was left either in the kitchen or the rest of the establishment. And while as much as it was a pain to do all this, it was the same thing he had been doing for years—normally he used to bring MK down to make him help, but now the kid had that whole Monkie Kid thing going on, he had better things to do than washing up dishes with his dad. Especially after they all went through that whole Azure Lion thing just a few days back, nearly everyone needed at least a little time to think.

But, Pigsy wouldn’t deny that it sucked that MK was spending so little time with his friends and family anymore over his whole hero thing, and while the pig demon understood it was important for him to do all that, saving the city and all, he couldn’t help but always feel a twinge sadder thinking about it.

Though, his thoughts seemed to be suddenly interrupted by the sound of footfalls behind him. The pig demon’s brow raised when he saw you walking over to one of the seats near the counter and just plopping yourself down, almost just like Tang did whenever he wanted free food, though you looked a lot less perked up than Tang was. Normally after you were done with work, you didn’t just show back up at random, you and MK both seemed to enjoy doing anything but staying after hours to help out nowadays.

Pigsy looked over to you, placing the bowl he was drying off with a towel down and sighing. “Kid? You uh— doin’ okay?” He asked, arms crossing over his chest, though not as if to mock you or seem angry, but rather to more or less relax himself. After taking care of you and MK both for years on end, he could kind of tell when you both were so down, and he could tell now.

Your face looked sad, though there wasn’t a frown on it, you were still rather unhappy—from whatever it was that might’ve upset you.
