Katelyn grew up with her father and five brothers. She grew up to become a member of the Jury of Nine, a powerful group of soldiers led by the High Priest of the Lady Irene religion, Zane Ro'meave. This jury resides in O'khasis, the most powerful village run by Lord Garte, Zane's father. Her friend, Jeffory, is killed by Zane when Jeffory had saved their enemy, Lord Aphmau. This angers Katelyn and she leaves the jury, joining Aphmau in Phoenix Drop. She is serious, and quick to anger.
