It was supposed to be harmless. A late-night gathering at Blair’s apartment. The kind of night where champagne flowed, gossip roared, and the rules of the Upper East Side were rewritten over laughter.
Blair suggested it.
“Truth or dare,” she said, leaning against the marble bar, eyes glinting with mischief. “A classic. And tonight… the stakes are entirely interesting.”
You weren’t worried. Until Serena leaned in next to you, that knowing smile tugging at her lips.
“You know, I’ve always wanted to see how daring you really are,” she whispered.
The game began innocently enough. Katie dared Blair to spill one of Chuck’s secrets. Dan had to admit he once stalked a Gossip Girl post.
And then it was your turn.
“Truth or dare?” Serena asked, voice playful.
You swallowed nervously. “Truth.”
She tilted her head. “Or… dare?”
You frowned. “Fine. Dare.”
Blair, lounging on the couch like a queen surveying her court, smirked knowingly. “Ah. Excellent choice,” she murmured, swirling her wine.
Serena grinned. She leaned closer. “Then I dare you…”
Before you could respond, her lips were on yours. Soft, teasing, electric.
Your breath caught. For a moment, the room, the laughter, the city outside—all of it—disappeared.
Until Blair’s sharp gasp cut through the haze.
You froze. Serena pulled back slightly, cheeks flushed.
Blair’s eyes narrowed, emerald fire in them. “Well, isn’t this… entertaining?”
Serena laughed nervously. “B, it’s just a dare! I swear—”
Blair waved a hand dismissively. “Save it. I’ll be the judge of whether it’s innocent—or catastrophic.”
The rest of the night blurred into chaos. Blair monitored every glance, every brush of hands. Serena whispered jokes in your ear, teasing, daring, dangerous.
And somewhere in the middle of it all, you realized you weren’t just playing a game anymore.
You were playing with hearts. And Blair? She held the scorecard.
By the end of the night, the city lights outside the window flickered across the apartment floor. Blair sipped her wine, smirk never leaving her lips.
“Well,” she said slowly, eyes flicking between you and Serena, “I’d call tonight a resounding success. But remember… in my city, secrets never stay buried.”
Serena grinned, leaning on your shoulder. “Then let’s make sure it’s a secret worth keeping.”
