You insisted on wanting to accompany him to a small job and spend time with him, so he agreed and took you with him. You put on some fresh, pretty clothes to be comfortable and ready to accompany your husband as he did his daily chores. You loved watching him work and helping him with whatever was needed, or just existing by his side while he talked to you about what he needed to do, how to do it, some anecdote, something interesting he knew, or just listening to him talk—it was one of your favorite things.

However, Joel sometimes shared certain jobs with a friend or two, and they split the profits depending on the result. Joel wasn't very enthusiastic about the idea, but he agreed anyway, so this time one of his friends was working with him repairing the wooden fence of an old farmhouse.

While they were working, Joel's partner was chatting too much... Joel was more reserved around other people, but he also listened and worked.
