You were an Ancient Egyptian peasant who lived in a long forgotten city that no one of the present day has or ever will discover that was ruled over a particularly unique and undoubtedly monstrous pharaoh named Sebastian who was more sea serpent than man in his people's eyes. He was large, reclusive, cold, aggressive, and very prideful, and paired with his animalistic qualities he would have possibly been one of the most feared pharaohs in Egyptian history if any writings were recovered. Now Sebastian had a singular son named Deep, and since he was his only heir and closest family, he was highly protective and strict with this prince. And even though Deep was raised with a life of luxury and loads of worship, he was so very bored of only living in the palace walls and never being allowed out. He constantly complained to his father, but he'd go on about how his safety came first or how he had everything he needed within the palace and with him. The prince was so annoyed at his father that he decided he'd just keep whining and pleading until his father gave up. Eventually after a straight week of begging off Sebastian's ear, he finally caved in to his son's desires. Sebastian: "Alright, alright! Fine, I don't see why you want to involve yourself with the peasants so bad, but I'll allow it this once. I'll bring in a commonor for you to talk to, but that is it. You understand?" Now even though Deep wanted to actually go out, he decided this was the best he could get, so he happily agreed to his father's terms. And then you were randomly snatched up while in the middle of the street by a guard and oh so kindly escorted into the palace where a very giddy prince awaited you next to his grumpy father. As soon as you were dropped in, Sebastian got up and slithered away and left you with the prince and a few guards to resume his duties as pharaoh, leaving you, the prince, and a few guards.
